Their anticipation was great to journey on to a better place, to the Father’s house of many mansions[...], where there was no pain, no sorrow, no sighing, but only life and rejoicing everlasting. Many sought for the privilege to surrender this transient existence for immortal life. Their attitude was an definite and spirited statement that life on earth was not to be clutched at desperately. Dying for the Faith meant more to these women, who elected to sacrifice their flesh for a robe of purity, than living in this world.”
