The second section contains the ‘Heirmosi’ (liturgical hymns opening each Ode of the respective canon) for the Sunday Canons for Compline, Midnight Service, and Matins, also from the full Octoechos. [...]We believe and hope that this publication[...]will enable a continuation, expansion, and more meaningful use of the hymns because of the opportunity for the faithful to sing hymns using English, their primary language.
