Gold-Plated Censer with Bells

This gold-plated censer has a removable cup inside its bowl, the bowl being suspended from three chains. A fourth chain is attached to the lid and passes through the hasp, making it easy to raise and to lower the lid. Each of the four chains has three bells attached, for a total of twelve bells, symbolic of the preaching of the Twelve Holy Apostles.
